Faculty of Humanities at CMRU Hosts “Modern Teachers and AI” Workshop to Enhance 21st Century Teaching Skills

On August 4, 2025, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University organized a hands-on training workshop titled “Modern Teachers and AI: Advancing 21st Century Teaching and Learning”. The event took place at the Computer Laboratory, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, with the aim of equipping teachers and educational personnel with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching practices in the digital age.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sanya Sasong, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattawat Somdee, Associate Dean for Research, Academic Services, and Social Innovation, delivered the opening remarks and outlined the objectives of the workshop.

Expert speakers, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattawat Somdee and Lecturer Ekkarat Srisurak, provided insightful lectures and demonstrations on AI concepts, technologies, and practical strategies for integrating AI tools into modern educational settings to enhance teaching effectiveness.

The workshop was attended by 70 participants, including teachers and educational staff from seven schools in Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province:

  • Wat Chomkhiri School

  • Ban Sop Khab School

  • Ban Pa Bong School

  • Ban Mae Mae School

  • Wat Pangma-o School

  • Ban San Pa Kia School

This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between the university and the local community in strengthening professional teaching competencies in the region. It is part of the faculty’s commitment to academic service, aiming to support Thai teachers in staying current with technological advancements and confidently transitioning into 21st-century education.
