AiroTec CMRU Joined Hands with GISTDA Organizing Training Pandora and GEMS Data Processing & Application to Integrate Knowledge and Sustainable Air Quality Management

On 19th - 20th April 2023, the Asian Air Quality Operations Center by Space Technology, Geo-informatics & Environmental Engineering (AiroTEC), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU) joined hands with Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (GISDA), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Pollution Control Department, and Prince of Songkhla University in collaboration with 16 sectors, including Chiang Mai Province, Chiang Mai National Astronomical Research Institute, Northern Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Regional Center, Office of Conservation Area 16, Forest Resources Management Bureau 1 (Chiang Mai), Office of Environment Region 1, Chiang Mai Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, Chiang Mai Natural Resources and Environment Office, Chiang Mai Provincial Public Health, Chiang Mai Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, Agriculture in Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Provincial Industrial Office, Chiang Mai Provincial Local Government Promotion Office, Chiang Mai Provincial Public Relations Office, and Northern Meteorological Center held the training "Pandora and GEMS Data Processing & Application". This project is under the leadership of GISTDA, under the project "Building the Pan-Asia Partnership for Geospatial Air Pollution information" (PAPGAPi) to the operators at the area level of ground detectors Pandora, which consists of Pollution Control Department, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, and Prince of Songkla University. In addition, researchers and government officials involved in measuring air quality at the area and local level, with Dr. Surassawadi Phumpanich, project manager, delivered the report, and Asst. Prof. Surasak Noommeesri, Vice President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University welcomed at the Euang Saisongsang Meeting Room, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Muang District, Chiang Mai Province.
