BRIC CMRU Joined Mae Hong Son Solving Smog Pollution

Dr Tatporn Kunpradid, Director of Biodiversity Research and Implementation for Community, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (BRIC CMRU), together with lecturers, researchers, students from Faculty of Science and Technology, Biology major and Faculty of Education had been implemented on the project of reducing forest fire and smog pollution from local resource management and the participation of Mae Hong Son community according to strategic fund program 7, the challenging of resource, environment, agriculture group P.M 2.5. On 29th – 30th October 2021, the CMRU team had collected the data in community forest areas in order to seek the way to live with the commensal nature, increase the fire safety zones, and solve the fire problem in the community. In this occasion, the CMRU team had met Mr. Suwit Niyommak, Acting Director of Natural Resources and Environment Office, Mae Hong Son and Mr. Pakorn Jeenakham, Mayor of Mae Hong Son for discussing and presenting the solution framework of fire forest and smog problem in Mae Hong Son.

To enter in the community area, the staff had followed the measure of public health of Mae Hong Son by having 2 doses of vaccination, obtaining ATK COVID-19 testing within 48 hours, social distancing, checking temperature, and keeping personal hygiene practice strictly.
