Faculty of Agricultural Technology, CMRU Joined hands with Hand to Paw Chiang Mai to Sterilize Dogs and Cats with Vaccination Service

On 19 February 2023, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU), and the Hand to Paw Foundation, Chiang Mai held the activity “Being a Veterinary Assistant to Sterilize Dogs and Cats and Taking Care of Pets After Surgery”. In this event, there were services, including sterilization, vaccination against rabies fleas, and tick medication as of the project to fulfill His Majesty's project resolution “Disease-Free Animals, People Safe from Rabies”. The students from the Animal Science major participated in this activity and practiced being a veterinary assistant consisting of neutering female dogs aged 4 months - 8 years and female cats, rabies vaccination flea, and tick prevention injections for dogs and cats. This project was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kulisara Marupanthon, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Special Affairs, Dr. Nattawut Krutthai, Associate Dean for Administration and Student Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Niraporn Chaiwang, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, and Mr. Suriya Kaewta, Animal Husbandry Scholars, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
 
In this event, people were taking their pets to receive the services; 62 female and male dog received sterilization services, 17 female and male cats received vaccinated against rabies, and 6 diseases in dogs.
