Air Quality P.M. 2.5 Weather Station

On 8th March 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatree Maneekosol, Acting President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University welcomed the representatives from Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) led by Mr. Tatiya Chuentrakul, Deputy Director of GISTDA and staff team. In this visit, both parties had discussed regarding the academic cooperation on applying geographic information system to benefit the community in terms of environment resources, forest, agriculture, air quality, flood, drought, etc. For the strategic environmental assessment in the area plan, there was a discussion for installing the air quality P.M. 2.5 weather station in Pandora system for Geostationary Environment Monitoring Spectrometer, which was made in South Korea and developed with NASA, USA.

Dr. Rarchaphol Samputthanont had presented the mission and overall outcome of geo-information technology for community and discussed the integration for maximum benefits. After meeting, the representatives of GISTDA and staff team had visited the deck of Building No.27 and No.29 for assess suitability to install the air quality P.M. 2.5 weather station in Pandora system. This visit was a good beginning to develop in term of geo-informatics and space technology development areas to be recognized and to apply in the community for maximum profit.
