On September 14, 2022, Associate Professor Dr. Chatree Monkosol, representing the President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony of the CIRCLE 2022 art exhibition. CIRCLE 2022 is an international exhibition of cross-border art collaborations organized by CMRU students in collaboration with universities in China, Taiwan, and Japan. This year, Thailand had the honor of hosting the event, which took place at the exhibition hall on the 1st floor of the 90th Anniversary Building at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Wiang Bua Campus.
Dr. Ekgapong Surayong, the head of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program with a major in Art and Performance, explained that this exhibition was the 4th in a series of international exhibitions between universities in the network. In this particular instance, Thailand hosted the event, which showcased creative artworks from universities involved in art education. The participating institutions included the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Education at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Da-Yeh University (China-Taiwan), Tokyo Gakugei University (Japan), and Shiga University (Japan). Additionally, artists from Japan were invited to participate in the exhibition, and a total of 29 participants presented 29 unique art pieces representing the cultural identity of each country.
For those interested, the exhibition can be visited from now until October 5, 2022, between 08:30 and 16:30 at the exhibition hall on the 1st floor of the 90th Anniversary Building at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Wiang Bua Campus.
